The girl has got mad skills.
Not a lot to say today. Just wanted to show off the purse Maisy made all by herself. (well, I threaded the needle & sewed on the ribbons but she told me where.) She's been really interested in sewing so I gave her a sewing box and found a bunch of cross -stitch fabric on sale. The holes make it easier to sew and then we can work towards regular fabric. I do have to say that I love the decoration on the bag, Maisy felt it needed a "little something". And that "little something" was a picture of herself.
Next is my current work in progress. Hopefully I'll get it done this week. I'm kind of excited about it because it's gonna be really pretty when it's done. (dang, hope I didn't jinx myself)

So cute! The "little something" really made the whole thing work. Truly. Meanwhile, though, I am seriously coveting that pink/orange circle fabric and coordinating stripe. What is it!? Do tell! ~A :-)
eeek, I am sure that is "prints charming " fabric - anything you make with it will be great ! Truly

Oooh! So you did find big circles! Yea!
And go Maisy!
Jodie is right. The big dots are the "prints charming" fabrics from Free Spirit. The strips are from Heather Ross' "Lighting bugs & other mysteries" collection.
I just lucked out that they matched so well.
First sewing projects are so wonderful! I still remember mine which was a shirt for a barbie for which I sewed the neck and armholes shut.
What a cute little bag!!
