Finally, the Derby Bag is done!
I really liked this pattern, Simplicity 4263, I had my doubts but it was pretty quick and easy.
It's just perfect for carrying gear or as a diaper bag.
This time I added a little loop for a key ring.
Okay, Last time I talked about the Anchor Shirt I said that I'd take my time and not be so hasty, right?
Well, I sure didn't take my own advice.
Once again, I got all excited about the anchor shirt and Lori's great advice to embroider red around it.....Yeah, didn't turn out so well.
Now, don't get me wrong. I love the red thread outline, just maybe I shouldn't have been lazy and done it on the sewing machine or maybe I should have put some stabilizer on the back before zigzagging or maybe I shouldn't have started on it late at night when I was already tired.
Oh,well. At least I know I like the red outline.
That's something, right?

Er, yeah.
Hey, did you find a blue convertable in your bathroom? Eliot missed it before we got to the end of your street.
Thanks for my little zippered pouch - perfect for Garage Sale-ing!
Cheers!
i like the red too. it's not *that* bad.
I like the red. You're probably being too hard on yourself, because it's yourself. :) I like that roller derby fabric...very retro! ;)
I like the red. And love the bags!
Red outline on blue is classic.
So is sewing late at night.
I meant to say also that I love the zippered pouch you made to go with the tote. I'm having a lot of zippered pouch envy lately.
Guess I'm going to have to make one.
