The season has officially started.

This is my house.

And it may sound stupid but today was the first day that I swept our front porch. That always marks the begining of Spring and Summer for me. Sweeping the porch is one of my favorite things to do, that chore that never really bothers me. I enjoy the simplicity of it, the fact that my porch is now clean and inviting whereas before it looked like hobos lived there.

I also love our garden out front. I adore how green it gets and how it's obnoxiously overgrown.
And the fountain that eventually becomes a fishing pond for the raccoons.

I'm just so glad that spring is finally here.

I'll be over at 5:00 with some beer to enjoy on your porch.

Seeing your cute house makes me ask myself for the hundredth time: How can I live in the most boring ranch house in the world when there are so many cute cottages out there? Why weren't any for sale when I needed to buy a house last year?

Ah well. I love your overflowing garden.

I love the gardens! I love front porches, too -- I don't know how I managed to fall for a house that doesn't have one. :)

Howdy! I just wandered over here from Dustpan Alley and I'm so glad I did! I love your house! It's so charming! I especially love the low stone wall around the garden and the great bench on the porch. I have been working on adding stone borders to my raised beds as well. But I have no idea where to find such a great bench!

What a gorgeous house!? My 6yr old wants to move to the US immediately and live in one just like yours! I think its the porch thing, and the shape of the roof, and the garden, and the .....
Our front garden is also overflowing but in an unkempt and 'vacant property' type of way. You've inspired me to go and tidy it up NOW!

I can say the exact same thing Angelina said... but a 100 times more! At least her house is a rancher... my house is a rambler!

Your house is SOOO beautiful and I dream of living in something as cute as yours! And now I drool. I too love to sweep outside (inside, not so much. Not at all actually). Instant gratification. I also love to rake in the fall.
